Description
Not recommended. Toyota's luxury saloon looks good on paper but it's had little impact in the UK and is a depreciation disaster if you plan to buy new.

Contrà´le technique
While the Camry is America's best-selling car it has consistently failed to score in this country. The latest facelift has given the saloon even more equipment but poor sales are reflected in appalling secondhand values. However, the ride quality is super-smooth and there's lots of space, plus a large boot. Engine options are a 2.4 and a thirsty 3.0 V6 petrol - there's no diesel. If you want luxury and comfort for a good price the Camry is worthy of consideration - just don't expect much when you come to trade it in.
Points positifs
- Very roomy, softly sprung and refined
- Good equipment in a well finished package
- Inherits legendary Camry reliability
|
Points negatifs
- Fairly thirsty and depreciates heavily
- Minimal prestige, image or character
- Drive is undemanding but no fun
